Acia Power Smoothie

 

This Acai smoothie recipe is from my Kind Gut™ program. Give it a try and see if you like it. The story behind this Acai smoothie is actually fascinating. My husband’s friend owns a restaurant and hired me to create a healthy menu. He was excited to introduce me to their signature smoothie which was made with Acai. At his request, I researched this purple beauty and fell in love with it’s super powers. It also is an incredible antioxidant.

You may want to try this healthy smoothie with your child or anyone struggling with anxiety, attention, depression or poor behavior. You can buy Acai in most supermarkets as juice sold by an amazing company Sambazon- check them out here. I also love it in their powder form that you can throw into other smoothies, make a juice with and conveniently take with you. I actually send this to my son at college since the juice is much harder for him to store in a dorm. This superfood smoothie is delicious and most of my kid patients love it, so give it a try and let me know what you think!

Acai Power Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup of Sambazon Acai Juice
1 cup of organic coconut, rice, or goat milk, apple juice or water
1 organic banana
1 cup of ice (not needed if you use frozen berries or frozen Sambazon pack)
1 cup of organic blueberries or berry of choice (if frozen berries, omit the ice listed above)

Instructions

Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix! Enjoy!

This little purple berry packs a fantastic health punch and is delicious to boot! It is loaded with omegas, antioxidants and nutrients that are leaky gut approved and linked to helping health issues too!
